This Colt was produced in 1920. The pistol’s serial number is 338073. It has the 5 1/2 inch barrel chambered for the 32 W.C.F. {32-20} cartridge. The bore and chambers are in very fine to almost new condition. The Factory Letter states that this Colt was shipped to Abercrombie And Fitch In New York  1920. The description matches this Colt. This transitional pistol has the serial number on the frame and back strap in the normal position the trigger guard strap has the serial number stamped under the left side of the strap that is covered by the pistol grips. The rear of the cylinder has the last two digits of the serial number stamped between the chambers. The hard rubber grips are not serial numbered. The action works very fine like new with fine bolt time. There has been no repairs or alterations done to the hammer. The screws are not burred or damaged on this pistol. The barrel and ejector housing retain 85% of the original charcoal bluing. The cylinder has about 80% of the charcoal bluing. The frame retains 78% of the light color cased finish. The back strap and trigger guard strap retain around 80% of that charcoal bluing. The base of the trigger guard has some light pitting. This is a very fine transitional model Colt that would be a fine addition to any collection and also be fun to shoot!
