This High Standard was purchased by the military during World War 2 This pistol’s serial number is 113860. It has the 4 1/2 inch barrel. The bore is bright and clean. The action is smooth and operates correctly. The original wood grips are in fine condition. The original bluing would rate a 96% overall. The top of the barrel is stamped – Property of U.S.A. The right side of this pistol above the barrel retaining pin is stamped- Property of U.S. and below that the ordnance wheel. The magazine is a correct High Standard magazine This is a highly collectable historical High Standard that saw war time service as a training pistol. The original box is in good condition showing wear and some loss around the edges, The labels are intact clear and bright. There is some tape supporting the top box corners. This is a great condition High Standard Military model That served our troops in World War2 This pistol will certainly appeal to the military collector as well as the High Standard collector!
