The finish is the war time finish that is common to see with these pistols. The quality workmanship of the finish is very good! The grip serial number is not matched to this pistol. These wood grips are the correct style grips for this pistol however. The action works fine with no issues. The color cased trigger and hammer have the original strong finish intact. The bore is bright with strong rifling. These U.S.M.C. marked pistols are not very common. Most of these pistols were issued to Marine aviators. and crews. This pistol comes with a unmarked high quality flap holster that is designed for use with a web belt. The holster has no belt loops.
