Model 1886 Carbine Boot For The Springfield Trap Door Carbines – ITEM 1520

Item Number 1520 Category

This is the improved model of the carbine boot from the 1885 models. This boot was made longer and reinforced with a brass base for the throat. This is a service used carbine boot. The lettering is very faded and hard to read. The leather is sound with no damage. The straps are intact with no tears or other damage or repairs. The stiching is sound. This “Boot” shows honest field use and wear. There is no abuse or crushed body due to poor storage. This is a nice collectable Cavalry Carbine Boot for the Springfield Trap Door Carbines. It will show well for the military collector as a great example of a service used item of the Indian Wars.
