This is a early model Walther pistol with the 90 degree safety and Crown N proof mark. The pistol’s serial number is 923772. This pistol is chambered to shoot the 32 A.C.P. cartridge. The bore is bright and minty. The original wrap around grips are not warped or cracked. These grips are in very fine condition. The bottom of the grip by the lanyard ring is initialed A.M. most likely the original owner. The action works great with no issues. The high polish bluing has some old rust spots and light pitting on the slide sides. The frame has no pitting or rust spots. This was the condition this pistol was in when captured. The original finger extension magazine color matches the grips. The spare magazine is the correct spare magazine for this pistol. The holster is serial numbered to this pistol. The holster is in very fine sound condition. The original capture paper mentions this pistol and the serial number. The person who captured this pistol J. A. Crothers “No Rank Indicated” and the date of October 10th 1945 is also on this form. It is fairly rare to have the original capture papers with a pistol. These papers are easily lost through the years. With small pistols such as this Walther P.P.K. it was just as easy to stuff the pistol in the duffle bag and not declare it. This Walther has it all! Capture papers, Correct two magazines and holster serial numbered to this pistol! This is a nice piece of history of World War 2!
