Colt Model 357 Magnum Revolver The Forerunner Of The Python – ITEM 1734

Item Number 1734 Category

This revolver was produced in 1959. The pistol’s serial number is 21003. This pistol is fitted with the 6 inch barrel. The bore is in very fine to minty condition. The target sights are original to this pistol. The original grips are the early large fully checkered wrap around grips with the silver medallion. These grips are in fine condition with sharp checkering. The action on these models are hand honed in the same high standard quality as the early Pythons. The original bluing would rate a 98% overall condition. The only real blemish is a slight discoloration over one cylinder flute. This pistol shows very little use or wear. This is a very well cared for pistol. These 357 Magnums predate the Python models. The 357 Magnum was produced between 1953 to 1961. There were around 15,000 produced during that time. This is a low production for Colt’s. This makes this revolver a fairly rare pistol to find today. This pistol is a fine original example of these 357 Magnum models.
