This Colt was produced in 1956 of first year second generation Single Action Army production. The pistol’s serial number is 7179 SA. It is chambered for the 38 special cartridge. It also has the harder to find 7 1/2 inch barrel. This Colt is in unfired condition. There is no burn ring around the front cylinder face. There is some very light handling marks on this Colt. The original bluing would rate a 99% or better condition. The bore and cylinders are in mint condition. The hard rubber grips are in new condition. These grips are serial numbered to this pistol. The right grip panel has some fading to brown tone. This is normal sometimes for hard rubber grips that age. The color cased frame retains all of the fine strong coloring, The color cased finish is very pleasing looking with fine coloring. This is a very stunning looking Colt! Being a first year production with the 7 1/2 inch barrel makes this Colt stand out! This is the kind of Colts that collectors crave for their collections!
