Smith & Wesson Model 53 22 Jet Early Production Pistol – ITEM 2002

Item Number 2002 Category Tag

This Smith & Wesson revolver was produced in early 1962. The pistol’s serial number is K 474399. It has the standard 6 inch barrel. This pistol has the ability to shoot 22 Short, Long and long Rifle as well as the 22 Jet Central fire cartridge. This is done by inserts and by the selective hammer striker. This pistol has the pinned barrel and diamond pattern checkered grip center. This frame is also the four screw frame. This Smith & Wesson is in very fine condition with light use. The action works smoothly with no issues. The original grips are in new condition. There is no original box with this pistol. The original 22 Jet inserts are in fine condition with no issues. This pistol is accurate and fun to shoot! This pistol is a second year production pistol. Latter production 1962 pistols had the screw eliminated in front of the trigger guard. This pistol is one of the last of the four screw frame 53’s. This makes this Smith & Wesson very collectable!

In Regards to Phone Calls

For those folks that do not know me yet, I’m very hard of hearing on the phone. Therefore when you would call me, I will pick up the phone and tell you that I will call you right back. I have caller ID just so that you know, the reason for that is I cannot use a regular phone. I have to switch over to what is called a voice carry over phone. When I call you back you will hear my voice in our conversation, an operator will type your conversation to me on my phone view screen. With me reading what you are saying to me saves me a lot of confusion for me mishearing words.

I do want to talk to you and answer your questions without mistakes or miscommunications. This system works pretty good, so please be willing to be patient with my hearing loss.

My wife Marcia has fine hearing on the phone and is quite knowledgeable about firearms and is very able to help you over the phone.

Thanks, Harry
