This Springfield was produced in 1914. The Serial Number is 75532. The serial number for Springfield started at 72571 This makes this Springfield Model 1911 the 2961st pistol produced at the armory! This pistol has the original correct barrel with a very fine bright bore. Finding a Springfield with it’s original barrel is a real plus! Having one with a very fine bore  is even better! The wood grips are original to this pistol. The action works great with no issues. The original finish would rate a 85% or better condition. There is no pitting or rust on the frame or slide. This slide does not have the 1913 patent date with the other lettering of the Colt patents. this is correct for this early Springfield slide. The Flaming Bomb is present on the left side of the frame and slide. The sights are correct for this pistol. The magazine is the correct Springfield Magazine with the lanyard loop and folded base. This magazine is in very fine condition. This holster is the correct model 1912 holster for this pistol. It is hard to read the lettering, but it states Rock Island Arsenal 1915 below the swivel base. This holster is in fine condition with no issues or damage. The leather is supple and serviceable. This early pistol and holster rig would be very hard to beat for a collector of military firearms or 1911 Pistols!
