Underwood “I” Stock Low Wood With 2 Early Underwood Coded M1 Carbine Magazines ITEM 3252 & 3253

This is a early Underwood M1 Carbine stock> It has the Early “I” cut for the oiler. This stock has been altered to the low wood configuration. There is no arsenal stamps or rework stamps on this stock. The wood has the original finish intact. There is no cracks or other damage to this stock. The right side of the stock has the correct UEF GHD in a box. The sling cut out also has the correct stamps.  The hand guard came with this stock. There is a small u stamp on the inside edge of that forend. There is also another stamp that I cannot make out. This is a very fine stock for restoration of a early Underwood carbine. The two magazines are also correctly coded with a “U” for Underwood. They also have the early flat bottom on the magazines. The magazine pouch is dated 1943. This all goes together with the sale of this stock.
