ITEM 1940 – SOLD – Winchester Deluxe Model 1886 Takedown In 33 W.C.F. With Factory Letter And Original Box Of Shells

This Winchester was produced in 1909. The rifle’s serial number is 145831. The factory letter states that this rifle was shipped on August 27th 1909. It has the 24 inch round takedown barrel chambered for the 33 W.C.F. The bore is in fine condition. The magazine tube is the uncommon 2/3 length tube. The takedown feature is tight with no play. The action works correctly with no issues. The original barrel and magazine blue would rate a 96% or better overall condition. The receiver is mostly in patina condition with protected areas of original bluing. The stock and forend retain all of the original finish. The checkering is in fine condition. The pistol grip has the original hard rubber grip cap intact. The stock has the shotgun butt as originally ordered. The hard rubber butt plate is in very fine condition. This pretty wood is graded 2X on the inside of the lower tang. The assembly number is also present as number 800. The “800” is stamped on the lower tang by the wood grading and on the stock itself. This is a very nice condition Winchester Deluxe model in the popular 33 W.C.F. cartridge. This rifle has seen use and wear but no abuse. This rifle will still shoot just great! The 33 W.C.F. is still a great hunting cartridge even for today’s hunting needs. This fine deluxe rifle having the factory letter and an original full box of shells is a real plus for the collector to find!
