Winchester Model 53 Rifle With The Rare Takedown Feature In 44 W.C.F. ITEM 3552

Item Number 3552 Category

This Winchester was produced in 1925. The rifle’s serial number is 3334. This rifle has the standard 22 inch pencil  barrel chambered for the 44 W.C.F. [44-40] cartridge. This rifle’s bore is in very fine bright condition. The sights are original to this gun. This rifle has the seldom seen takedown feature for this model. This take down feature locks up tight with no issues. The Model  53 action uses the older 1892 action that is upgraded to be the Model 53. The barrel and magazine tube retain about 97% of the original bluing. The receiver is silvery with traces of the original bluing. The action works smoothly and locks up tight. The stock and forend retain all of the original finish. The wood is in very fine condition with no damage or other issues. This Model 53 Winchester is certainly in fine enough condition to be a collector grade gun! With it’s fine bore, being a takedown and it’s overall condition makes this Winchester very collectable!
