This Winchester Gallery Gun was produced in 1947. The rifle’s serial number is 70747. It has the rare octagon barrel chambered for the 22 Short cartridge. Most Gallery guns were fitted with round barrels. Having a Gallery gun with a octagon barrel is a real find! The bore is in fine condition, bright with no issues. The area where the pump handle works back and forth shows blue loss. The receiver also has the Winchester Logo stamped on the left side of the frame. The sights are the standard sights for this model. The original bluing would rate a 96% overall condition. The stock and pump handle retain all of the original factory finish. There is no cracks or blemishes on the wood. The action is tight with no issues. The take down feature is snug with no play. This is a very fine condition Gallery gun that has seen light use. Being a octagon barrel Gallery gun is a real find for the collector! Here is one of these rare Gallery guns in very fine condition that would be hard to “top”!
