ITEM 1936 – SOLD – Winchester Model 62 22 Pump Rifle With It’s Original Colorful Graphics Box With Rare “X” Suffix

SOLD

Item Number 1936 Category

This Winchester was produced in 1948. The rifle’s serial number is 240077X. This gun has the “X” suffix after the serial number. The “X” denotes that the serial number stamping machine die got stuck and stamped the same serial number on the next gun in line. To separate the two matching serial numbers the workman hand stamps a “X” at the end of one the serial numbers to separate the serial numbers. This rarely happens with Winchester guns! This makes this Model 62 a very collectable firearm! This Winchester has the standard 23 inch barrel with a minty bore. This gun shows very little use or being fired. It is in near new condition. The original bluing would rate a 98% to 99% overall condition. There is no abuse from sloppy assembly or use. This Winchester is in very fine original condition! The original box is serial numbered to this 62 Model Winchester. The graphics are strong and bright and colorful. The box itself is in fair condition. There is corner separation and handling use. These original boxes rarely survive. To have the original box with this Winchester is a real plus! Having a “X” suffix serial number is a real added bonus for any collector!

In Regards to Phone Calls

For those folks that do not know me yet, I’m very hard of hearing on the phone. Therefore when you would call me, I will pick up the phone and tell you that I will call you right back. I have caller ID just so that you know, the reason for that is I cannot use a regular phone. I have to switch over to what is called a voice carry over phone. When I call you back you will hear my voice in our conversation, an operator will type your conversation to me on my phone view screen. With me reading what you are saying to me saves me a lot of confusion for me mishearing words.

I do want to talk to you and answer your questions without mistakes or miscommunications. This system works pretty good, so please be willing to be patient with my hearing loss.

My wife Marcia has fine hearing on the phone and is quite knowledgeable about firearms and is very able to help you over the phone.

Thanks, Harry
