This dou code 98K was produced in 1942. That was the first year that Brunn AG Bystica of Reich Occupied Czechoslovakia started producing 98K rifles for the German Military. The rifle’s serial number is 5402g. It has the standard 24 inch barrel chambered to shoot the German 8 m/m service round. The bore is bright with very sharp lands. This rifle is all matched serial numbers. The original bluing would rate a 97% overall condition. The stock has no cracks or other issues. This stock and matching hand guard retain all of the original finish. The original sight hood is intact. The action works great with no issues. The cleaning rod is original to this rifle. The sling is a correct issued sling. This is a very fine high grade condition German 98K for the serious collector. It is not easy to find all matching 98K rifles in very fine original condition!
