Winchester Model 1892 Rifle First Year Production In Nice Original Condition ITEM 3431

Item Number 3431 Category

This Winchester was produced in 1892. The rifle’s serial number is 6667. This rifle is chambered to shoot the 38 W.C.F. [38-40] cartridge. The 24 inch octagonal barrel has a very fine bright bore. The sights are original to this gun. The action is crisp and works smoothly. The original bluing on the receiver would rate a bright 85% or better condition. The barrel and magazine would rate a 88% lightly faded blue. The hammer and lever still have traces of the original color cased finish. The stock and forend have really stunning wood with nice feathering of the grain. There is no cracks or other damage to the wood. Almost all of the factory wood finish is intact. This is a very nice first year Winchester with a four digit interesting serial number. These early first year production Winchesters in this nice of condition are getting really hard to find in this day and age! Here is a nice one that can take place in any fine collection.
