This Colt was produced in 1908 when Howard Taft became president of the United States. The pistol’s serial number is 305358. This Colt has the 7 1/2 inch barrel chambered to shoot the 32 W.C.F. [32-20] cartridge. The factory letter states that this Colt was shipped to A. J. Harwi Hardware Co. In Atchison Kansas on June 9th 1908. For Lewis Young. This Colt has seen very little use or wear. This Colt does show some sign of being fired and being in a holster. The bore is bright with some light spotting in places. The cylinder chambers are in minty condition. These is some scratches on the cylinder surface. The action works great with no issues. The original bluing would rate a 95% or maybe better. The color cased frame has very fine coloring with all of the color cased finish intact. The hammer has very strong color cased finish. The grips are matched serial numbered to this pistol. These hard rubber grips are in very fine new condition. The nitre blued screws and trigger have all of that brilliant peacock blue intact. This is a really stunning Colt! This Colt Single Action Army has survived the years in remarkable condition! This pistol would be a stunning addition to any fine collection!
