Colt Military Model 1911 A1 Pistol Robert Sears Inspected Last Of The Blued Pistols ITEM 3086

Item Number 3086 Category Tag

This Colt was produced in 1941. The pistol’s serial number is 729911. This pistol is chambered to fire the 45 A.C.P. Military cartridge. The bore is very fine with sharp lands. This Colt is inspected by Robert Sears. It has the RS in a box stamped below the slide stop. The original barrel is correctly stamped Colt 45 Auto above the barrel lug on the left side. There is a small G stamped forward of the barrel lug. The slide is also serial numbered to the frame. That serial number is stamped inside the firing pin retaining plate. This Colt shows honest service use and wear. The original bluing has much fading on the frame. The slide shows more bluing than the frame. The original bluing would rate a 50% faded condition. The original wood grips have fine checkering with some point wear. There is no damage to these grips. The action works just fine with no issues. This Colt has the correct two tone magazine in fine condition. This Colt has not been messed with or been restored. This is a honest service used Colt 1911 A1 from World War Two. This is the last of the Colt 1911 A1’s that were blued. Robert Sears was the last inspector of blued 1911 A1. This is a highly collectable Colt with an interesting background! The box of shells is for display only, not for sale
