This Military 1911 Colt was produced in 1913. The pistol’s serial number is 58205. This colt is in original as issued condition. The original barrel is properly P H Coded in line with the bore. The bore is in very fine bright condition with sharp lands and no pitting or other issues. This Colt has been well cared for and would rate a 94% or better condition. This Colt was part of a 600 gun shipment to Springfield Armory On December 10th 1913. The magazine is the correct type 3 two tone magazine without the key hole punch cut on the back. The front and rear sight is the early style with the rounded rear sight sides and thin front sight blade. The grips are in fine condition showing some light wear. All of the parts on this Colt are correct for this serial number range and time frame. The Model 1912 holster is unmarked. Most likely was bought at the Army Navy Store. The inside flap has the name Col. R.C. Langdon U.S. Army. A Colonel Russell C. Langdon is listed as being awarded the Distinguished Service Cross during World War One as well as the Army Distinguished Service Medal. The Silver Star for Gallantry in action During The Santiago Cuba Campaign of 1898 was also awarded to this Colonel.  This holster is in very fine supple condition with the original leg strap intact. This is a very fine pistol rig that was well cared for with a very interesting history that is rarely found with these early Colts! These second year production Colts are rarely found in this fine of original condition. having the original holster with this pistol is a real plus with this pistol! With the history of the Colonel it adds even more of a cachet to this fine Colt!
