Inland Division Of General Motors First Block Production M1 Carbine ITEM 3106

Item Number 3106 Category

The barrel date on this carbine is April of 1943. The carbine’s serial number is 381914. This is a first block production M1 carbine for Inland. The 18 inch barrel is in minty condition with a bright bore. It is chambered for the 30 M1 Carbine cartridge. All of the parts including the magazine is properly coded for Inland. These parts are correct for the serial number range and time frame. This carbine shows very light use and being fired. This carbine would rate a 97% or better condition. It has the correct dog leg hammer and early style parts. The flat bolt retains almost all of the original bluing. The action works smoothly with no issues. This carbine has never had the type 3 barrel band installed. The rear sight is original to this carbine. The high wood oval cut stock and hand guard are properly IO coded. The stock and handguard Retain all of the original finish. This stock is in very fine condition with some light handling marks. The sling and oiler are the early World War 2 style. The sling has the early small buckle on the Khaki sling. The oiler has the early Inland code of II. This is certainly a very fine collector grade M1 carbine with early features. Finding original condition m1 carbines is getting very difficult today! Here is a very collectable carbine for the serious collector! The Carbine chargers are for display only and not for sale.
