Inland Line Out To Underwood Rare M1 Carbine – ITEM 2007
The Underwood’s barrel date is 6-43. The carbine’s serial number is 752165 in the Inland serial range. Inland Division of General Motors supplied receivers to other manufacturing company’s that were running short of receivers. This was to keep production running smoothly and on time. These “Line Outs” are rare today! The company that receives these receivers will then line out Inland and put their production name in place of Inland. This “Line Out” is one of these receivers. Underwood Lined Out Inland and put their .U. code for Underwood for their use and assembly of the Underwood Carbine. All of the gun parts are Underwood Coded. These parts are correct for the time frame and barrel date. The carbine shows light service use and wear. The metal parts retain all of the original finish. The flat bolt has almost all of the original bluing intact. The Underwood barrel bore is bright with sharp lands. The front and rear sight are original to this gun. Even the magazine is Underwood coded. The stock and forend is Inland coded. The recoil plate and butt plate is also by Inland. The stock and forend is coded IO. This complete stock is in very nice condition. I do not know if Inland delivered to Underwood complete stocks with the receiver order. My research has not come up with a answer to this. This is how I received this carbine. Sometimes it is best to leave well enough alone! These “Line Outs” were done very rarely. This is a fine example of cooperation between the various companies to keep war production going smoothly!

In Regards to Phone Calls
For those folks that do not know me yet, I’m very hard of hearing on the phone. Therefore when you would call me, I will pick up the phone and tell you that I will call you right back. I have caller ID just so that you know, the reason for that is I cannot use a regular phone. I have to switch over to what is called a voice carry over phone. When I call you back you will hear my voice in our conversation, an operator will type your conversation to me on my phone view screen. With me reading what you are saying to me saves me a lot of confusion for me mishearing words.
I do want to talk to you and answer your questions without mistakes or miscommunications. This system works pretty good, so please be willing to be patient with my hearing loss.
My wife Marcia has fine hearing on the phone and is quite knowledgeable about firearms and is very able to help you over the phone.

This firearm is sold as a curio and relic or an item of historical interest unless specified. This Term of Sale also applies to a modern firearm that Kaiser Ordinance may sell. We the seller, will not assume any responsibility or liability if this firearm is to be shot or used in any way. Any type of ammunition or loading procedures is beyond our control. This also includes any safety or lack of safety procedures in using this firearm purchased by us.
If you, the Buyer, do wish to shoot this firearm, Kaiser Ordinance Inc. strongly insist that the firearm be inspected by a qualified gunsmith as to condition and ability to be fired safely. No guarantees or warranties are implied on a firearm sold by Kaiser Ordinance Inc. Buyer is responsible for any theft or unauthorized use of the firearm purchased from Kaiser Ordinance Inc.
I the Buyer, have read this Term of Sale for purchasing a firearm from Kaiser Ordinance Inc.. I the buyer, fully understand these terms of sale and will accept any responsibility or liability incurred if I violate these terms. I the Buyer will not hold Kaiser Ordinance Inc. or Kaiser Ordinance Inc. employees responsible or liable for the firearm(s) purchased by me, the Buyer.
All items purchased from us have been carefully researched and described to the best of our ability. We want you, the customer to be fully satisfied with your purchase from us. We offer the standard three day inspection time. If for any reason you the customer wish to send your purchase back to us, notify us by phone or email of your intent to return the item. Make sure you send your purchase back in the same condition you received it in and insure the shipment for the same value. When we receive the returned item, I will then send you your refund.
For your simplicity of purchasing items from our site, we offer services for paying by the four major credit cards, or if you prefer, by money orders, cashiers check, or by personal check. If paid by personal check, I will have to hold your order until your check clears the bank. I will ship your order within 48 hours after all paperwork and legal requirements [ if applicable to gun sales] are met. Most items I like to send by priority Mail.
