ITEM 1927 – SOLD – Steyr Diamler Puch A.G. Steyr bnz 1943 Code 98K Mauser Rifle With Single Rune

This Rifle was built in 1943. The Steyr’s rifle’s serial number is 4616. This rifle is all matched serial numbers. This also includes the bolt. The bore is in fine bright condition. This rifle has the single SS rune on the top of the receiver ring. The rune denotes that this rifle was built at the Gussen Sub Camp of Mauthaussen Concentration Camp. The barrel was made by Steyr. Many of the parts and equipment were supplied by Mauser to help complete these rifles. This was noted by Law’s book Titled, Back Bone Of The Wehrmacht The German K98K Rifle 1934 To 1945. The stock is by Mauser and is coded as such. This Mauser stock appears to be part of the equipment that was used to build these rifles. The stock is a solid wood stock rather than a laminated stock which was more in common use in 1943. The stock has the cupped butt plate. The butt plate is coded brg for H.W. Shmidt [Sachsen]. Many of these stocks were not Rune coded. This stock shows all the earmarks of always being with this rifle. The stock is not a duffle bag cut. The original bluing is faded with use and wear. The bluing would rate a 35% and silvery looking. The cleaning rod is intact with this rifle. The original leather sling is also included. The sling is in nice serviceable condition. The rifle shows service use and wear. there is no abuse or damage done to this rifle. The action works smoothly with no issues. This rifle shows being well cared for and kept in service use during the war. These rifles are not commonly seen today. They did not produce many of these rifles to start with. Here is a very nice sample of these single rune K98K’s for the collector.

In Regards to Phone Calls
For those folks that do not know me yet, I’m very hard of hearing on the phone. Therefore when you would call me, I will pick up the phone and tell you that I will call you right back. I have caller ID just so that you know, the reason for that is I cannot use a regular phone. I have to switch over to what is called a voice carry over phone. When I call you back you will hear my voice in our conversation, an operator will type your conversation to me on my phone view screen. With me reading what you are saying to me saves me a lot of confusion for me mishearing words.
I do want to talk to you and answer your questions without mistakes or miscommunications. This system works pretty good, so please be willing to be patient with my hearing loss.
My wife Marcia has fine hearing on the phone and is quite knowledgeable about firearms and is very able to help you over the phone.

Our Terms of Sale
This firearm is sold as a curio and relic or an item of historical interest unless specified. This Term of Sale also applies to a modern firearm that Kaiser Ordinance may sell. We the seller, will not assume any responsibility or liability if this firearm is to be shot or used in any way. Any type of ammunition or loading procedures is beyond our control. This also includes any safety or lack of safety procedures in using this firearm purchased by us.
If you, the Buyer, do wish to shoot this firearm, Kaiser Ordinance Inc. strongly insist that the firearm be inspected by a qualified gunsmith as to condition and ability to be fired safely. No guarantees or warranties are implied on a firearm sold by Kaiser Ordinance Inc. Buyer is responsible for any theft or unauthorized use of the firearm purchased from Kaiser Ordinance Inc.
I the Buyer, have read this Term of Sale for purchasing a firearm from Kaiser Ordinance Inc.. I the buyer, fully understand these terms of sale and will accept any responsibility or liability incurred if I violate these terms. I the Buyer will not hold Kaiser Ordinance Inc. or Kaiser Ordinance Inc. employees responsible or liable for the firearm(s) purchased by me, the Buyer.
All items purchased from us have been carefully researched and described to the best of our ability. We want you, the customer to be fully satisfied with your purchase from us. We offer the standard three day inspection time. If for any reason you the customer wish to send your purchase back to us, notify us by phone or email of your intent to return the item. Make sure you send your purchase back in the same condition you received it in and insure the shipment for the same value. When we receive the returned item, I will then send you your refund.
For your simplicity of purchasing items from our site, we offer services for paying by the four major credit cards, or if you prefer, by money orders, cashiers check, or by personal check. If paid by personal check, I will have to hold your order until your check clears the bank. I will ship your order within 48 hours after all paperwork and legal requirements [ if applicable to gun sales] are met. Most items I like to send by priority Mail.
