HARRY VIEZENS FINE GUNS

Take a Shot at History

ITEM 1929 – SOLD – Waffenfabrik Brunn dot Code K98K Mauser Rifle In Original Military Condition

SOLD

Item Number 1929 Category

This rifle was dated for 1944. The Rifle’s serial number is 4888 AI. It has the standard barrel chambered for the 8M/M German Service round. The bore is in very fine bright condition. This rifle is all matched serial numbers including the bolt. The action works smoothly with no issues. The sights are original to this gun. The stock is also serial numbered to this rifle. The stock has the earlier style buttplate installed. The wood is the laminated style stock with no damage or other issues. This rifle is not a duffle bag cut gun. The sling is a correct military issued leather sling for this rifle. It has the original cleaning rod and bayonet stud intact. The original bluing would rate a 92% overall condition. The magazine floor plate has the grey phosphate finish which was coming into service at that time. This is a very fine nice condition 98K service rifle that is certainly a collector grade gun for the military collector. It is certainly getting harder to find original as issued German rifles that are all matched serial numbers. This is one of these fine rifles!
