This Winchester was produced around March of 1943. The carbine’s serial number is 1096621. This carbine is one of the first carbines to not have a barrel date on the barrel. The bore is minty and bright. This Winchester shows very little sign of service use or wear. All of the parts are correctly coded for the time frame and serial number range with a “W”. The oiler and magazine is also coded for Winchester. The bolt has almost all of the original bluing intact. It has the correct dog leg hammer for this carbine. The push button safety has the correct cross hatch checkering on the surface. The magazine release push button has the correct long smooth face. The rear sight is original to this carbine. The original military finish would rate a 97% overall condition. The stock has some very light dings in places. There is no cracks or wood damage to this stock and bull nose  hand guard. This stock and hand guard has the original wood finish intact. This is a exceptionally fine original  Winchester Carbine that has not been tampered with, rebuilt or restored. Original as issued M1 carbines are getting very difficult to find today. In Regards to Phone Calls

For those folks that do not know me yet, I’m very hard of hearing on the phone. Therefore when you would call me, I will pick up the phone and tell you that I will call you right back. I have caller ID just so that you know, the reason for that is I cannot use a regular phone. I have to switch over to what is called a voice carry over phone. When I call you back you will hear my voice in our conversation, an operator will type your conversation to me on my phone view screen. With me reading what you are saying to me saves me a lot of confusion for me mishearing words.

I do want to talk to you and answer your questions without mistakes or miscommunications. This system works pretty good, so please be willing to be patient with my hearing loss.

My wife Marcia has fine hearing on the phone and is quite knowledgeable about firearms and is very able to help you over the phone.

Thanks, Harry
