Winchester M1 Garand All Original Correct Winchester With Bayonet ITEM 3435

This Military Winchester M1 Garand was produced in July of 1944. The rifle’s serial number is 2471967. This Winchester is all correct for July 1944. The barrel is in very fine condition. The Rear sight is the correct lock bar sight. The operating rod is uncut and is properly marked for Winchester. The stock has the WRA GHD  in a box below the rear sight. There is also a large Ordnance Wheel next to the boxed WRA GHD. All of the internal parts are correctly coded for Winchester. The trigger housing, hammer, safety, trigger and trigger guard are properly marked. This rifle has the correct short fork for the cartridge follower. The leather sling is a correct World War 2 Sling dated 1944 with steel adjustment hooks. The stock compartment has the correct latter style accessories in the stock. The grease pot in the stock is original World War 2 Issued.  The bayonet is a correct cut down bayonet for World War issue. This bayonet is made by Onida Limited dated 1943. The alteration to the blade is by P.A.L. and so marked on the other side of this blade. This Winchester does show some service use and wear. There is no damage or rebuilds done to this Winchester. This Winchester has all the appearance of being a Veterans take home rifle. These Winchester M1 Garands are very rare in original as issued condition. This rifle is certainly one of the better preserved Winchesters!
