This Colt was produced in 1943. The pistol’s serial number is 1184503. It has the standard 5 inch barrel chambered for the 45 A.C.P. government cartridge. The barrel is a correct Colt barrel for this pistol. The bore is bright with sharp lands. The barrel has been cleaned by the ejection port. The rest of the barrel has all of the original bluing. The slide is not serial numbered. Colt stopped serial numbering the slides at this time. The hammer is the correct early style wide spur hammer. The original military finish on this pistol would rate a 95% overall condition. The plastic grips do show some service wear. There is no damage to the original grips. The magazine is a correct World War 2 issued magazine. This is a honest service used Colt that would be a fine addition to any military collection!
