Saginaw Gear, Saginaw Original World War 2 Carbine In As Issued Condition ITEM 3151

This Saginaw Gear Carbine barrel date is 5-43. The carbine’s serial number is 3386152. It has the standard 18 inch Saginaw Gear barrel chambered to fire the 30M1 carbine cartridge. The bore is minty with sharp lands. This gun shows very little sign of being fired much. The carbine itself does show service use and light wear. All of the parts are correct for the serial number range and time frame. The original finish would rate a 97% condition. The Stock and hand guard is properly coded for Saginaw Gear. This high wood stock does show some nicks and marks from field use and carry. There is no cracks or damage to the wood. The magazine is also coded for Saginaw Gear. The flat blued bolt and internal parts are coded for Saginaw Gear. The sling and oiler is World War 2 issue. This is a fine Carbine for the collector that has not been rebuilt or restored. Original M1 carbines that are in their original as issued condition are getting very difficult to find now! This carbine is one of 517212 carbines produced by Saginaw Gear, Saginaw This company produced 8.5% of the carbines produced in World War 2. Here is a very fine example of these carbines for the collector!

In Regards to Phone Calls

For those folks that do not know me yet, I’m very hard of hearing on the phone. Therefore when you would call me, I will pick up the phone and tell you that I will call you right back. I have caller ID just so that you know, the reason for that is I cannot use a regular phone. I have to switch over to what is called a voice carry over phone. When I call you back you will hear my voice in our conversation, an operator will type your conversation to me on my phone view screen. With me reading what you are saying to me saves me a lot of confusion for me mishearing words.

 

I do want to talk to you and answer your questions without mistakes or miscommunications. This system works pretty good, so please be willing to be patient with my hearing loss.

 

My wife Marcia has fine hearing on the phone and is quite knowledgeable about firearms and is very able to help you over the phone.
