Item Number 3016 Category

This Smith & Wesson was produced in 1957. The pistol’s serial number is S 172068. This barrel is 6 1/2 inches and pinned being chambered for the 44 Magnum cartridge. This pistol is one of the early 4 screw frame pistols to come out after 1956. This pre 29 is very lightly used and fired. The action works smoothly with a crisp trigger release. The original bluing would rate a 99% condition. The correct coke bottle grips are in new condition with nice wood grain surface. The hammer and trigger have nice color cased finish. The toe of the grip frame has been ground to fit another style of grips. you can only see that if you remove the original wood grips. That is the only alteration on this fine pistol. The original box is the smooth surface black box with the spring snap lock. The blue lining has tears by the front and rear sight locations. The original accessories are present in the box. It consist of the screw driver, cleaning rod, brush and swab. Having the original box and accessories with this early 4 screw frame pre 29 is a nice plus for the collector! These pre 29 pistols are getting harder and harder to find today. Here is a fine example of these early magnums!

In Regards to Phone Calls

For those folks that do not know me yet, I’m very hard of hearing on the phone. Therefore when you would call me, I will pick up the phone and tell you that I will call you right back. I have caller ID just so that you know, the reason for that is I cannot use a regular phone. I have to switch over to what is called a voice carry over phone. When I call you back you will hear my voice in our conversation, an operator will type your conversation to me on my phone view screen. With me reading what you are saying to me saves me a lot of confusion for me mishearing words.

I do want to talk to you and answer your questions without mistakes or miscommunications. This system works pretty good, so please be willing to be patient with my hearing loss.

My wife Marcia has fine hearing on the phone and is quite knowledgeable about firearms and is very able to help you over the phone.

Thanks, Harry
