These carbine receiver saddle ring staple holes were plugged with flush screws in this manner. These carbine receivers are rarely seen today! This rifle has a very old good quality refinish. The old refinish is turning a faded blue color. The action works fine with no issues. The stock and forend have no cracks or other damage. The wood shows a old re varnish.
