Winchester Model 61 In 22 Long Rifle Only With Octagonal Barrel And Tang Sight ITEM 2187

Item Number 2187 Category

This Winchester was produced in 1939. The rifle’s serial number is 39286. It has a 24 inch octagonal barrel chambered for the 22 Long Rifle only. It has the standard front and rear sights installed. This rifle also has the Lyman tang sight installed. This tang sight may have been installed at the factory. The peep aperture is threaded for installing the disc peep sight. This rifle is in near new condition. There is a very light sign of the pump handle being pumped. There is really no sign that this rifle has been fired. The original bluing would rate a 98% or better overall condition. The stock and forend are in very fine condition with all of the factory finish intact. This Winchester has the early small pump handle which is correct for 1939. This is a very fine high condition Winchester with the early features. This rifle’s high early condition plus the octagonal barrel, being chambered for the 22 Long Rifle and the tang sight installed, really makes this Model 61 stand out! This rifle would be a stunning addition to any gun collection!
